     George Warren Alexander was born on 9 May 1829 in Derry, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.^2,3 He was the son of Philip C. Alexander and Mary Ann Taylor.¹ The census of 1850 shows George W. Alexander, 21, working in a cotton mill, in the household of Philip C. Alexander and Mary A. Alexander, at Holyoke, Hampden County, Massachusetts.⁴

In 1851, George Warren Alexander was a manufacturer.³

He married Harriet N. Appleton on 10 September 1851 in Holyoke, by Rev. Asahir Chapin.³

The census of 1860 shows George W. Alexander, 30, a wadding manufacturer with $200 personal estate, and Harriet Alexander, 26, listed with Edgar Alexander and Lilly Alexander living at Spruce Ward, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.⁵

On 20 April 1861 George Warren Alexander enlisted as a Captain, Commissioned in Company G, 1st Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania.⁶

On 15 September 1862 George Warren Alexander enlisted as a private in Company Criswell's, Indpt Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania.⁶

On 1 October 1862 George Warren Alexander was mustered out.⁶

On 13 December 1862 at Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, Virginia,, George Warren Alexander was wounded.⁶

On 18 September 1863 George Warren Alexander received a disability discharge.⁶

The census of 1870 shows Geo. W. Alexander, 40, manufacturing cotton laps, with $300 personal estate, and Harriet Alexander, 37, listed with Adjar Alexander, Lillie Alexander and Nettie Alexander living at Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.⁷

The census of 1880 shows Geo. W. Alexander, 50, working in a hat factory, and Hattie Appleton, 49, housewife, with fever and ague, listed with Lily Alexander and Nettie Alexander living at West Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.⁸
As of from 1888 to 1890, George lived at 6 W. Penn Ave., Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, He was owner of George W. Alexander & Co.⁹

The census of 15 June 1900 shows George W. Alexander, 70, a hat manufacturer, listed with Edgar Alexander and Lillie Alexander living at Spring, Berks County, Pennsylvania. They also had a servant, Annie Hottenstein, 37.¹⁰

He died on 5 May 1903 in Reading, at age 73.¹¹

     Gladys E. Alexander was born in 1902 or 1903 in New Hampshire.¹ She was the daughter of Frank M. Alexander and Vasta M. Lakeman.¹ The census of 1910 shows Gladys E. Alexander, 7, attending school, in the household of Frank M. Alexander and Vasta M. Alexander, at Turnpike, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹ On 5 June 1918, Herbert Glenn Alexander enlisted for the draft. He was employed with the Waltham Watch Co. on Crescent Street. He had blue eyes and brown hair. His residence was shown as 64 Maple, Waltham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, and his next-of-kin was Gladys Alexander who lived in Concord, N.H.²

     

Grace Judson Alexander was an elocutionist.¹ She was born on 19 July 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Henry Alexander and Sarah Abby Marsh.¹ The census of 19 April 1910 shows Grace J. Alexander in the household of Charles H. Alexander, at 49 College Ave., Somerville, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.² The census of 22 April 1910 shows Grace J. Alexander in the household of Henry J. Alexander and Lillie R. Alexander, at West 162, New York, New York County, New York.³

     Henrietta H. Alexander was born on 14 September 1911 in Massachusetts.^1,2 She was the daughter of George Herbert Alexander and Henrietta Cox. The census of 1920 shows Henrietta H. Alexander, 8, at school, in the household of George H. Alexander and Henrietta Alexander, at 83 Beacon St, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.³ The census of 1930 shows Henrietta H. Alexander in the household of George H. Alexander and Henrietta Alexander, at 83 Beacon St, Boston.⁴

She married ---(?)--- Alvarez say 1945.⁵

She died in January 1990 in Howell, Monmouth County, New Jersey, at age 78.²

     Henry James Alexander was born on 8 July 1874.¹ He was the son of Charles Henry Alexander and Sarah Abby Marsh.¹

The census enumerated on 22 April 1910 shows Henry J. Alexander, 36, civil engineer for the city, and Lillie R. Alexander, 36, listed with Charles H. Alexander, Grace J. Alexander and Maud M. Alexander living at West 162, New York, New York County, New York.²

He married Lillie R. ---(?)--- in 1915 or 1916.² He and Lillie R. ---(?)--- were divorced before 1930.³

     James Alexander was born about 1848.¹ He was the son of James Green Alexander and Aurelia Veazey.¹

     James Bordman Alexander was born on 15 December 1834.¹ He was the son of Samuel Alexander and Mary Nutt.¹ The census of 1850 shows James B. Alexander in the household of Samuel Alexander and Betsey C. Alexander, at Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.² In 1856, James Bordman Alexander moved to California He may have settled in San Francisco.¹

He married Mary Nyland on 14 December 1870 in California.¹

The census of 1880 shows B. James Alexander, 45, a carpenter, and Mary Alexander, 27, keeping house living at Santa Clara, Santa Clara County, California.³

     James Ervin Alexander was born on 15 February 1883 in Harris, Chisago County, Minnesota.^1,2

He married Avis Adelle Colby, daughter of Judson Adnirom Colby and Helen Franklin, on 2 July 1905 in Harris.^3,4 James Ervin Alexander registered for the draft on 12 September 1918. His home was listed as 545 Canada St., Saint Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. He was a laborer for St. Paul Bread, 18th & Minnesota Sts. His nearest relative was shown as M. Charles Johnson, who was living with him.²

He died on 3 July 1943 at age 60.⁴

     Jane Alexander was a member of at Hooksett Congregational Church, Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹ She was born in 1901 in Elkton, Cecil County, Maryland, daughter of John Alexander and Annie Taylor.¹

She married Willis Frank Woodbury, son of Frank A. Woodbury and Emma F. Jones, on 19 May 1934 in Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.² As the oldest resident of Bow, she had been the keeper the Boston Post Cane since 1997. She was a 83-year member of the Hooksett Grange No. 148; a member of the Hooksettites and the Bow senior citizens' "Young at Heart" Club; and a volunteer for the Fresh Air children's program in the 1940s and 1950s.¹

She died on 8 September 2001 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹ She was buried on 10 September 2001 in Head Cemetery, Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. The Rev. William Donoghue of Brookside Congregational Church officiated.¹

     Leon Edwin Alexander was born on 18 July 1907 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹ He was the son of Frank M. Alexander and Vasta M. Lakeman. The census of 1910 shows Leon E. Alexander in the household of Frank M. Alexander and Vasta M. Alexander, at Turnpike, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.²

He married Clare Berva Robbins on 4 August 1934 in Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.¹

He died on 10 December 1988 at age 81.¹

     Martha Alexander was born on 6 November 1760.¹

She married Jonathan Colby, son of Abraham Colby and Elizabeth Blaisdell, about 1784 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.^2,1 She appeared on the census of 1 May 1791 in the household of her in-laws, Abraham Colby and Elizabeth Blaisdell, at Bow, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.³

She died on 28 October 1844 at age 83.¹ She was buried in East Dunbarton Cemetery, Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹

     Mary A. Alexander was born on 25 October 1829.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Alexander and Mary Nutt.¹ The census of 1850 shows Mary A. Alexander in the household of Samuel Alexander and Betsey C. Alexander, at Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.²

She married Cyrus Waterman Pratt about 1854.¹

     Maud Marsh Alexander was born on 28 February 1873 in New Hampshire.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Henry Alexander and Sarah Abby Marsh.¹ The census of 19 April 1910 shows Maud M. Alexander in the household of Charles H. Alexander, at 49 College Ave., Somerville, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.² The census of 22 April 1910 shows Maud M. Alexander in the household of Henry J.
