Colby, 21, a farmer, in the household of Sargent Colby and Ruth Colby, at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3

He married Irena Harvey about 1851.2 They moved to Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.1

The census of 1860 shows M. H. Colby, 30, a farmer,with $475 real estate and $50 personal estate, and Irena Colby, 36, a domestic, listed with Clara Colby living at Lawrence, Van Buren County, Michigan.4

He died after 1896.5

He married Charlene Rogers on 20 May 1942 in Laconia, Belknap County, New Hampshire.2

He married Maybeth Irene Hemphill on 13 May 1952 in Machias, Washington County, Maine.2

He died on 14 July 1995 in Mocksville, Davie County, North Carolina, at age 75.2 He was buried in Alexander Cemetery on River Road, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, in the same plot with Frank E. Colby Jr. and Hazel M. Myers.3

She married Nathan Cate on 8 September 1836 in Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3

The census of 1860 shows Nathan Cate, a farmer with $1,000 real estate and $200 personal estate, and Maxamilla Cate, listed with Maximilia E. Cate, Daniel S. M. P. Cate, Mary R. Cate and John G. Cate living at Hooksett. The 1860 census shows both Nathan and his wife being born in Vermont, but all other censuses indicate they were born in New Hampshire.4

She died on 8 April 1865 in Hooksett, at age 44.5
