     Daniel Alden was born in 1761 or 1762.1

He married Sarah Cary, daughter of Dea. Jonathan Cary and Mary Curtis, on 18 December 1786 in the Fourth Church of Christ in Bridgewater, now the First Congregational Church, Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts . (Intention not recorded.) They were second cousins.2

He died on 10 September 1799, in his 37th year.1 He was buried in North End or Ashland Cemetery, North Bridgewater (now Brockton), Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1

She married James Cary, son of Dea. Jonathan Cary and Mary Curtis, on 30 May 1798 in the Fourth Church of Christ in Bridgewater, now the First Congregational Church, Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts . (Intention not recorded.) She was his first wife.3
