He died in 1925.4 He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Northfield, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.4

     George Albert Colby was born on 26 November 1845 in Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.2 He was the son of Levi Colby and Dolly Green Davis.1

He married Sarah A. Converse on 17 January 1870 in Hooksett.3

The census of 1880 shows George D. Colby, George worked on the railroad. Also in the household were his mother-in-law, Namey Converse, 65; a servant, Harriett Converse, 25; and Samuel C. Head, 19, who worked in a cotton mill, and Sarah A. Colby, listed with Katie B. Colby living at Hooksett.4

He died on 20 March 1935 in Hooksett, at age 89.2 He was buried in Head Cemetery, Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.5

Colby, 17, in the household of Hazen Colby and Lucy D. Colby, at Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.4


He married Georgiana York on 12 October 1857 in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts, by Robert Hassall, clergyman.5

Between 1858 and 1881, George H. Colby was a machinist.6,7

He married Filena Hurlbutt on 24 July 1878 in Massachusetts.8

The census of 1880 shows George H. Colby, Also in the household were Sarah E. Corlew, 28; Allice M. Avery, 31, from New Hampshire; and a servant, Ellen Curley, 26, from New Brunswick, and Filena H. Colby, listed with Lauren Colby living at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.9

In 1886, George Hazen Colby was a master mechanic.3

     George H. Colby committed suicide by pistol shot on 13 December 1886 in 298 Columbus, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 53.3 He was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Boston Highlands, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.8

     George Henry Colby was born on 15 April 1841 in Pembroke, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.1,2 He was the son of Leonard Colby and Sarah B. Rand.1 He was graduated in 1859 from Manchester High School.2

He married Ellen M. Hadley on 9 November 1860 in New Hampshire.3

From 1863 to 1865 George Henry Colby was a civilian clerk in the quartermaster's department of the Army of the James.2

The census of 1870 shows Geo. H. Colby, 29, a book-keeper, 28, keeping house, listed with Leonard F. Colby and Sarah G. Colby living at Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. Also living there was Emma Green, 22, from Vermont, working in the cotton mill.4

George Henry Colby was a captain in New Hampshire National Guard for many years.2
As of before 1880, George lived at Bethlehem, Grafton County, New Hampshire.2

The census of 1880 shows George Henry Colby, George H. Colby worked in the railroad office as a station and freight agent, listed with Sadie Colby and Clarance Colby living at Plymouth, Grafton County, New Hampshire.5,2

He married Lulu Etta Mitchell about 1883.2

George Henry Colby he was the quartermaster of the 1st N. H. Regiment in the Spanish War.2

He died on 5 February 1903 in Plymouth, at age 61.2

Heath on 15 May 1854 in Dunbarton. They were married by Edmund H. Smith, of Weare.5

The census of 1860 shows George Colby, a shoemaker, with $200 real estate and $75 personal estate, and Ann M. Colby, listed with Henry A. Colby, Mary Colby and Emma F. Colby living at Salisbury, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.6 The census of 1870 shows George Colby in the household of Sargent Colby and Ruth A. Colby, at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.7

The census of 1880 shows Henry Colby, a shoemaker, and Ann M. Colby, listed with Lizzie Colby, Nellie Colby and Hattie Colby living at Boscawen, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.8

     George Stanford Colby was born on 12 October 1907 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta County, Alberta, Canada, . He was the first known relative of mine to be born in Alberta.1 He was the son of George Byron Colby and Lena May Huyck.1

He died on 22 January 1977 at age 69.1

He married Clara Pauline Tebbetts on 24 June 1930 in Bow.2
