Junior Grange No. 150.1 In 1897 Francis O. Colby owned real estate about two hundred acres of land, most of which was under cultivation.1 He was in 1897 counselor of Washington Lodge American Mechanics No. 3.1 He lived with Nellie J. Colby and Lafayette S. Lakeman in 1897.7

Frank Edgar Colby M.D. was a physician, practicing obstetrics in Concord and Bow. He served as the Town of Bow as Selectman, Tax Collector, Auditor, Town Clerk and was on the Town's first Board of Health. He was also well known as a poultry breeder of Barred Rock chickens.2 Frank lived at 2 Logging Hill Road, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire,, where he had an apple orchard.2 He was born on 26 July 1862 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3 He was the son of Willaby Colby and Eleanora Angenette Crosby.1 The census of 1880 shows Frank E. Colby in the household of Willabey Colby and Angenette E. Colby, at Bow.4 He was graduated in 1886 from Dartmouth College from the medical class.1 He was graduated in 1887 from Long Island Hospital.1
He married Caroline P. Colby on 26 June 1887 in Bow.5
The census of 1900 shows Frank E. Colby, 37, a physician, and Caroline Colby, 29, listed with Annie F. Colby, Frank E. Colby Jr. and Willoby A. Colby living at Bow. The census lists this family adjacent to that of Frank's parents.6
He died on 10 January 1944 in Bow, at age 81.7 He and Caroline Priscilla Dubia were buried in Alexander Cemetery on River Road, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.2
