In 1874, Edward lived in Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire,, where he built the brick house on North Mast Street, located on the site of the schoolhouse in District No. 13. He resided here for a time, then disposed of his property and removed to Vermont.

The census of 1880 shows Edmond H. Colby, a sewing machine agent, and Jane F. Colby, listed with Edith E. Colby and Onen E. Colby living at Goffstown.6

The census of 1900 shows Edward H. Colby, 52, a carpenter, living at Tilton, Belknap County, New Hampshire. He is listed as married, but no wife is shown.7

He died on 16 November 1916 in Tilton, at age 68.

The census of 1880 shows Edwin A. Colby, Edwin was living on a farm with his uncle and aunt, Danmiel and Esther H. Wheeler. Also in the household was Danmiel's brother-in-law, George M. Robertson, living at Bow.3

He married Charlotte E. Bangs on 29 November 1900 in New Hampshire, as her second husband.4,5 The census of 1910 shows Edwin A. Colby, 55, a public school teacher, in the household of Daniel Wheeler, at Hackett Hill Rd., Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.5

He died in 1940 in Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.2 He and Charlotte E. Bangs were buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.6

     Eli Colby was born on 3 December 1758 in Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.3 He was the son of Abraham Colby and Elizabeth Blaisdell.1,2 16 July 1776, Eli Colby was mustered into service, in Colonel Wyman's regiment, to reinforce the army in Canada under General Stark.4 He was killed in Battle of Bennington, Bennington, Bennington County, Vermont on 16 August 1777 at age 18.1,2

     Eli Colby was born on 3 June 1786 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3 He was the son of Jonathan Colby and Martha Alexander.1,2 In 1791 or 1792 , Eli Colby went to live with Grandfather Samuel Alexander on River Road, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3 He appeared on the census of 1 May 1791 in the household of his grandparents, Abraham Colby and Elizabeth Blaisdell, at Bow, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.4 In 1802 or 1803 , Eli Colby moved to at Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine,, where he learned the joiner trade.3
As of 1805 or 1806, Eli lived at Saco, York County, Maine.3 From 1807 to 1857, Eli Colby was was extensively engaged in the building up of Ellsworth, Hancock County, Maine.3

He married Sarah Hardison Jordan on 3 April 1810 in Ellsworth.3

The census of 1850 shows Eli Colby, a farmer with $1,000 real estate, and Sarah Colby, listed with Charolett Colby, William Colby, Luther Colby and Edmund Colby living at Waltham, Hancock County, Maine.5

He died on 9 November 1876 in Waltham, at age 90.2

He married Lorinda Giles on 18 December 1842 in Ellsworth.2

The census of June 1850 shows Eli Colby, Eli had $600 real estate, and Lornsa Colby, listed with Lwellyn Colby, Martha P. Colby, Alonzo P. Colby and Arthur E. Colby living at Waltham, Hancock County, Maine.3

The census of 1880 shows Eli Colby, Eli was a farmer, and Lorinda Colby, listed with Sally Colby living at Waltham.4
