Capt. Elihu Adams was born on 29 May 1741 in Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. He was the son of John Adams and Susanna Boylston.
Capt. Elihu Adams was captain of the Braintree Company at the Siege of Boston, and a minuteman who fought on the Concord Green in 1775.
He married Thankful White in 1765.
He died on 18 March 1776 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 34.

George Washington Adams was born on 12 April 1801 in Berlin, Germany.

On 30 April 1829, at age 28, he disappeared from the Benjamin Franklin in Long Island Sound during passage to New York City. His body was reported washed ashore on June 13, 1829. Historians believe that he committed suicide.
