     Benjamin Adams 3d was born on 14 June 1773 in South Georgetown, Essex County, Massachusetts, son of Benjamin and Sally S. Adams, in the Shute house, near the Boston & Maine station in South Georgetown. He erected and resided in the "Temperance house" near his birthplace.1

He married Lois Perley, daughter of Nathaniel Perley and Mehitable Perley, on 17 May 1798.1

He died on 2 January 1852 at age 78.1 He was buried in Marlboro Cemetery, Georgetown, Essex County, Massachusetts,

Benjamin Perley Adams was a general merchant at Topsfield, Essex County, Massachusetts.2 He was born on 5 September 1806.2 He was the son of Benjamin Adams 3d and Lois Perley.1

He married Mary Ann Cummings on 9 July 1833 as his first wife.2 He and Abba L. Stimpson of Salem published their marriage intention on 15 May 1841 as his second wife.2

He died on 10 July 1875 at age 68.2

Bessie Charlotte Adams

     Bessie Charlotte Adams was born on 14 October 1908 in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, daughter of Alson L. Adams.1

She married Kenneth Albert Woodbury, son of Walter Worthley Woodbury and Charlotte Chase, on 18 October 1928 in Brunswick, Cumberland County, Maine.1

The census of 1930 shows Kenneth Woodbury, 25, a water inspector, renting the home for $17.00, and Bessie Woodbury, 21 living at 67 Jordan Ave., Brunswick, Cumberland County, Maine.2

She died on 21 April 1989 in Maine at age 80.1

Betsy Adams

     Betsy Adams was born in Milton, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.

She married David Rawson, son of Elijah Rawson and Mary Paddock, in Milton, . The only record of his first marriage was in a letter written to Ruben (Rawson) Dodge 1848-9. The letter was written by William Allen Rawson of Lumpkin, Georgia, the grandson of David. William states his grandmother, Betsy Adams, was the daughter of Lewis Adams of Milton; to this union was born three sons.
