She died on 17 May 1890 in Colrain, at age 81 of consumption.4

He was a large man, weighing 350 pounds, and one of his sons stands six feet four in his stockings. He died ... honored and beloved."2 He was born on 3 October 1838 in Catamount Hill, Colrain, Franklin County, Massachusetts.3,4,5,6,7,8,9 He was the son of George Cary and Diana Shippee.1

Between 1867 and 1894, Clark Shepard Cary was a farmer.10,11

He married Minie L. Goodell on 10 April 1867 in Colrain, Franklin County, Massachusetts.11,12

The census of 1880 shows Clark S. Cary, Clark was a farmer. His stepmother Dordana was a nurse. Also in the household was a farm laborer, Frank N. Ware, 37, from Vermont, and Mina L. Cary, listed with Charlie W. Cary, Georgie W. Cary and Dordana Cary living at Colrain.13

He died on 8 January 1894 in Colrain, at age 55 of degeneration of the heart.12
