The census of June 1850 shows Jesse J. Morgan, Jesse J. Morgan was a farmer with $800 real estate, and Lydia Francis Morgan, listed with Laurens Morgan, Theresa J. Morgan, Jessie F. Morgan and Emily A. Morgan living at Bow.3

Barnet Zlochefsky married Marcia Rovinsky in 1898 and immigrated in 1899. His daughter, Mrs. Mary Weiner, writes that he was quite a heartbreaker when he was young. He told her he was engaged to eight women before marrying Marsha. She writes that she believes her mother, Marsha, may have come to America later than Barnet, along with her two sisters and two brothers. Upon arrival, she found Barnet living with a 'loose lady,' and Marsha threw her out of the house.
In 1902, Benjamin Sloffkie was a junk dealer.5
Benjamin Sloffkie and Marcia Sloffkie were listed as parents on birth record of Sloffkie on 8 February 1902 in Wrentham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.6,7

Barnet Zlochefsky and Marcia Rovinsky were listed as parents on birth record of Jacob Zlochefsky on 5 February 1903 in Franklin, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.8

Barnet Zlochefsky and Marcia Rovinsky were listed as parents on birth record of Colman Zlochefsky on 22 July 1904 in Franklin.9

In 1905, Benjamin was living at Alpine Street, Franklin, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, He was a boot & shoe maker, working at 647 Central.10

The census of 1910 shows Benjamin Levine, age 34, married 11 years, born in Russia, immigrated in 1899, a self-employed boot and shoe cobbler, and Marcia Levine, wife, age 32, mother of six of whom all were living, who immigrated in 1900, listed with Samuel Levine, George Levine, Culman Levine, Veagie Levine, William Levine and Mary Levine living at 422 E Central St., Franklin, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.11

In 1916, Barnet Zlochefsky was a cobbler.12
The census of June 1920 shows Benjamin Levine, age 43, immigrated 1897, naturalized 1910, born Russia, native language Yiddish, a self-employed shoe repairer, and Malisia Levine, age 42, immigrated 1898, naturalized 1910, born Russia, native language Yiddish, listed with Samuel H. Levine, George Levine, Colma Levine, Eisa Levine, William Levine, Mary Levine, Roy Levine, Lawerence Levine and Moss Levine living at 298 Salem St, Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.13


The census of 1930 shows Benjamin Levine, age 54, a widower, with native language of Yiddish, renting his home for $35 a week. He immigrated in 1898, was naturalized, and able to speak English. He was a shoe repairer., listed with Samuel Levine, Colema Levine, Mary Levine, Roy Levine and Lawrence Levine living at 78 Intervale St., Dorchester, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. They lived nextdoor to the Berger family, whose daughter Rose would marry Samuel Levine.16

From 1939 to 1942, Barnet lived in the home of his daughter Mary.17 In 1942 , Barnet Zlochefsky moved to an apartment on Otisfield Street, Roxbury, Norfolk County (later Suffolk County), Massachusetts.17
He died on 30 November 1946 in Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.18

The death record of Homer Levine (born Colman Zlochefsky) on 5 November 1964 lists the father as Benjamin Levine
