Sarah Jane Whittier was born on 12 July 1805, daughter of Moses and Rhoda Whittier, of Rowley.¹

She married Nathaniel Perley Rust, son of Nathaniel Rust and Judith Perley, on 23 June 1827.¹

She died on 26 May 1868 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, at age 62.¹

Elizabeth Whittingham was born on 24 December 1666 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of William Whittingham and Mary Lawrence.

She married Samuel Appleton, son of Major Samuel Appleton and Hannah Paine, on 19 June 1682 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts.

She married in 1726 as her second husband, Rev. Edward Payson of Rowley.¹
