He married Adelaide Chatfield-Taylor, daughter of Hobart Chatfield Chatfield-Taylor and Rose Farwell, on 29 June 1912 in Lake Forest, Lake County, Illinois.1

He died in 1950.1 He was buried in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1

Nicholas lived at Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.2

He married as his first wife, Sarah Vining, daughter perhaps of John of Weymouth, and had Thomas, born 1702; John, 1704; David, 1709; Jonathan, 1710; and Seth, 1713.2

He married Mary Cary, daughter of Francis Cary and Hannah Brett, in 1715 as his second wife.1

He married as his third wife, Mary Conant, and had Josiah, 1724; Sarah, 1726; Nicholas, 1731; and Ebenezer, 1736.2

He was accidentally killed on 6 August 1746.2

Hammond, listed with Horatio B. Hammond, Harriet J. Hammond, James E. Hammond and Anna E. Hammond living at Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.4
