Said to be "of Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire."¹ Paulina P. Wheeler was born on 5 March 1837 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.^1,2

She married Francis W. Colby, son of Thomas Colby Jr. and Abigail Noyes, on 7 November 1856 in New Hampshire.³

She died on 1 August 1865 in Bow, at age 28.⁴

Rachel Wheeler

Rachel Wheeler was born on 5 January 1804 in Sandown, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, Daughter of Sullivan Wheeler.¹

She married Elijah Colby, son of Jonathan Colby and Martha Alexander, on 31 December 1818 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.² Between 1850 and 1860, Rachel Wheeler and Elijah Colby moved to Medina County, Ohio.³

The census of 1850 shows Elijah Colby, 59, a farmer with $1500 real estate, and Rachel Colby, 48, listed with Hepsibeth Rachel Colby, Elijah S. W. Colby and Mahala Colby living at Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁴ She died of pleurisy on 17 January 1867 in Wayland, Allegan County, Michigan, at age 63.¹ She was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Wayland, Allegan County, Michigan.¹

The census of 1880 shows Rufus Wheeler, Rufus was a retail merchant, and Sarah J. Wheeler, listed with Etta V. Wheeler living at Barnett, Oceana County, Michigan.³
