     Jane Wheeler was born on 24 July 1815 in Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.1

She married Charles Sargent Colby, son of James Colby and Susannah Stewart, on 10 July 1834 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.2

She died on 30 August 1877 in Bow, at age 62.1 She and Charles S. Colby were buried in Evans (North) Cemetery on White Rock Hill Rd, by Turee Pond, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3

     John Wheeler was born on 31 January 1844.2 He was the son of Amos B. Wheeler and Hannah Quimby.1 The census of 1850 shows John Wheeler in the household of Hannah Wheeler, at Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3 In 1863, John Wheeler enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served on the war frigate "Colorado" and the gunboat "Mt. Vernon", which were employed enforcing the blockade of the ports of the Southern Confederacy.2

He married Sarah J. Call about 1866.2 In August 1885, John Wheeler became postmaster at Hooksett.2
