John Thurston

     John Thurston was a Methodist.1 He was born on 31 July 1787 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, son of Ephraim and Annie (Marsh) Thurston.2 He served in the War of 1812.1

He married Mercy Hale, daughter of Israel Hale and Esther Taylor, on 7 June 1812.2

The census of 1850 shows John Thurston, a laborer, and Mercy Thurston, listed with Mary Holt Thurston living at Oxford, Oxford County, Maine.3

He died in 1872 in Sherborn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.2
