     John Thurston was a Methodist.¹ He was born on 31 July 1787 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, son of Ephraim and Annie (Marsh) Thurston.² He served in the War of 1812.¹

He married Mercy Hale, daughter of Israel Hale and Esther Taylor, on 7 June 1812.²

     John R. Thurston was born in 1924 or 1925 in Wisconsin.¹ He is the son of John Henry Thurston and Mary Ann Daley McCkuskey.¹ The census of 1930 shows John R. Thurston, 5, in the household of John H. Thurston and Mary A. Thurston, at Altoona, Eau Claire County, Wisconsin.¹

     Lillia B. Thurston was born on 25 December 1869 in Temple, Franklin County, Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Edwin Thurston and Sarah Marantha Gould.¹ The census of 1870 shows Lillia B. Thurston in the household of Edwin Thurston and Sarah M. Thurston, at Temple, Franklin County, New Hampshire.² The census of 1880 shows Lillia B. Thurston in the household of Edwin Thurston and Sarah Marantha Thurston, at Temple.³

She died on 9 June 1892 in Farmington, Franklin County, Maine, at age 22.¹

     Lorenda Holt Thurston was born on 19 March 1816 in Oxford, Oxford County, Maine.² She was the daughter of John Thurston and Mercy Hale.¹

She married George N. Davis on 28 May 1845.²
