     Charles Taylor was born on 6 October 1742 in Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Israel Taylor and Rachel Wheeler.

He married Mercy Stearns, daughter of Eliazer Stearns and Abigail ---(?)---, on 29 March 1764 in Harvard.

The census of 1790 shows Charles Taylor, Also in the household was one other male over 16 [Israel], two males under 16 [Joseph and William], and one other female [Sarah], and Mercy Stearns, listed with Israel Taylor, Joseph Taylor, William Taylor and Sarah Taylor living at Harvard.¹

     Danforth Taylor was born on 30 October 1769 in Dunstable, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.¹

He married Tabitha Fletcher, daughter of Oliver Fletcher and Tabitha Richardson.¹

He died on 4 January 1858 in Stoddard, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, at age 88.¹

     Dinah Taylor was born on 27 March 1727. She was the daughter of William Taylor and Elizabeth Hapgood.

She married Ross Wyman on 10 April 1751.

She died on 15 November 1759 at age 32.

     Eleazer Taylor was born in 1700. He was the son of Eleazer Taylor and Lydia Barrett.

He married Judith Hapgood on 5 July 1721.

He died on 20 September 1753 in Shrewsbury, Worcester County, Massachusetts.

     Eleazer Taylor was born on 11 April 1678 in Marlboro, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of William Taylor and Mary Cheever.

He married Lydia Barrett on 18 April 1699 in Marlboro.

He died on 7 June 1734 in Marlboro, at age 56.

     Eleazer Cobb Taylor was born on 6 March 1813 in Orleans, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Isaac Taylor and Fanny Linnell.¹

He married Mary M. Kelly, as her second husband.¹

He died between 1880 and 1900.¹

     

She married Joseph Swett, son of John Swett and Sarah ---(?)---, in 1650, as his first wife.^1,2

     Elizabeth Taylor was born about 1656, daughter of Richard Taylor of Yarmouth.^1,2

She married Samuel Cobb, son of Henry Cobb and Sarah Hinckley, on 20 December 1680.¹

She died on 4 May 1721.¹

     Elizabeth Anna Taylor was born in May 1863 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.¹ She was the daughter of Eleazer Cobb Taylor and Mary M. Kelly.¹

She married James Arthur Swan in 1884 or 1885.¹

     Ephraim Taylor was born on 5 December 1776 in Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Charles Taylor and Mercy Stearns.¹

He died on 7 September 1778 at age 1.¹

     Esther Taylor was born on 18 August 1765 in Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Taylor and Mercy Stearns.

She married Israel Hale, son of Corporal Benjamin Hale and Mary Taylor, on 12 November 1782 in Harvard, performed by Josiah Whitney, Esq.²

The census of 1820 shows Israel Hale, Also in the household were one free white male between sixteen and eighteen [Eber], and one free white female of ten and under sixteen [unknown]. The family had three persons engaged in agriculture, and Esther Taylor, listed with Eber Hale living at Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.³

Maine estate schedule states that at age '55, [she was] feeble and infirm, often under the care of physicians.' [N.E.H.G.R. Jan. 1988, p. 31] "Worcester County

Kendall, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, being a Court of Record, in and for said County of Worcester, do certify that Artemas Ward, Esq. above named, is a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, duly commissioned and qualified, and that his signature as above appears is in his own proper handwriting. On this thirty first day of July in thee year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three personally appeared before the Judge of Probate for the County of Oxford, it being a court of record, Esther Hale, a resident of Waterford in the County of Oxford, aged seventy seven years, who being first and duly sworn according to law, doth, on her oath, make the following declaration, in order to obtain the benefit of the provisions made by the act of Congress, passed July 7, 1838, entitled "An act granting half pay and pensions to certain widows." That she is the widow of Israel Hale, who was a private in the army of the Revolutionary war, that a pension was granted him under an act of Congress passed June seventh, eeighteen hundred and thirty two, and the proof of the service performed by thee said Israel Hale is now on file in the Pension office.

She further declares that she was married to the said Israel Hale on the twelfth day of November seventeen hundred and eighty two, that her husband, the aforesaid Israel Hale died on the sixteenth day of May eighteen hundred and forty one, that she was not married to him prior to his leaving the service, but the marriage took place prior to the first of January seventeen hundred and ninety four, viz: at the time above stated, and that she still [illeg. due to fold in paper].

Subscribed and sworn to the day and year above written before me, ... ... Judge."⁴ "Esther Hale, widow of Israel Hale, who served in the Revolutionary war as a private.

Inscribed on the Roll at the rate of 80 Dollars --- Cents per annum, to commence on the 4th day of March, 1848.

Certificate of Pension issued the 17th day of June 1848 and sent to Levi Whitman, Norway, Me.

Recorded on Roll of Pensioners under act February 2, 1848, Page 13, Vol. 1."⁵

     Everett Taylor was born in September 1850.¹ He was the son of Trowbridge Curtis Taylor and Lydia Burpee Foster.¹

     Dr. Frank Perley Taylor is the son of Jonathan Taylor and Lydia Perley.¹
As of 1906, Frank lived at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.¹

     

He married Georgianna Ward, daughter of Asher Ward and Louisa Perley Wood, about 1867.¹

He married after 5 September 1872 again, and lived with his first wife's parents as their son as long as they lived.²

He died about 1900.³
