Moses Swett was born on 16 September 1661 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.^2,3 He was the son of Capt. Benjamin Swett and Hester Weare.¹

He married Mary Hussey on 12 May 1687.⁴

In 1722 he drew a half share in the fifth division in right of Richard Swain.⁵

His will, made 15 of April, 1719, when he was "sick of body, sound of mind," proved 19 January 1731, names wife Mary, eldest daughter Elizabeth (wife of Nathaniel Hall) deceased daughters Mary Swain, Esther Hoeg, son Daniel, daughter Deliverance Coleman, Theodat Purington, son Stephen and daughters Phebe Purington, Huldah Coleman, and Patience.⁶
