The census of 1880 shows James S. Hale, James was a farmer. Also in the household was Alicia Burbank, 47, and Betsy Hale living at Turner.²

She died on 5 December 1881 in Turner, at age 73.¹

     Clarence Warren Staples was born in 1897 or 1898 in Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Everett Churchill Staples and Ila Louise Tunnicliff.

     Everett Churchill Staples was born on 16 July 1874. He was the son of William Edward Staples and Jane Frances Warner. The census of 1880 shows Everett C. Staples, son, 5, at school, in the household of William E. Staples and Jannie F. Staples, at Easton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.¹

He married Ila Louise Tunnicliff in 1896.

He died before 1920.²

     Lloyd Everett Staples was born in 1899 or 1900 in New York.¹ He was the son of Everett Churchill Staples and Ila Louise Tunnicliff. The census of 1920 shows Lloyd E. Staples, brother, 20, pattern maker at a foundry, in the household of Clarence W. Staples and Ila L. Staples, at Matfield Street, West Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.¹
