Caleb Swan¹

b. 1 August 1803, d. 10 November 1867

Caleb Swan was born on 1 August 1803, son of Joseph F. and Jane (Osgood) Swan.¹

He married Apphia Smith, daughter of Isaiah Smith and Mary Chapman, on 22 December 1836 and lived in Fryeburg, Oxford County, Maine.¹ The spring of 1848, Caleb Swan and Apphia Smith moved to Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.¹

He died on 10 November 1867 at age 64 of paralysis of the brain, without issue.¹

He married Aurelia Colby, daughter of Eli Colby and Sarah Hardison Jordan, on 24 November 1831 in Ellsworth, Hancock County, Maine.² In 1872, Daniel T. Swan and Aurelia Colby moved to California.² The census of 1880 shows Daniel T. Swan in the household of Thomas Leland and Filena Leland, at Pajaro, Santa Cruz County, California.³

He died on 21 December 1886 in Watsonville, Santa Cruz County, California.⁴
