Nora Marie Stevens
b. 21 April 1899, d. 28 October 1986

Nora Marie Stevens was born on 21 April 1899 in Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky.
Nora is named Mary H., listed as 13 years of age, and as a 'stepdaughter' in the 1910 census. Beatrice Chamberlain Shough Larsen says Nathan Stevens (Nora's stepfather) was always mean to her, so that is possibly an explanation for the misinformation in the census.
She married Harry Earl Chamberlain, son of Jeremiah M. Chamberlain and Sarah Brisendine, on 6 November 1914 in Kenton, Hardin County, Ohio.
As of winter of 1928-29, Nora and Harry lived at Rushsylvania, Logan County, Ohio, according to Beatrice Chamberlain Shough Larsen, because Harry Chamberlain had had a fight with Mr. Musselman (his employer). They then had to leave the house they rented from Mr. Musselman and move to Rushsylvania. Harry then became ill over Christmas. They had no food for Christmas, but on Christmas day Aunt Bertha Boone Cornelius and Laurie Boone Cornelius brought oranges, apples, and candy, so they had a nice Xmas after all. Then about the time June was born, the only food they had were some parsnips someone dug up out of the frozen ground. Finally, Beatrice and Marie Boone Stevens Chamberlain (her mother) went to see Mr. Musselman, who told them they could move back to his house and Harry could come to work any time.
Nora Marie Stevens was a clerk at G.C. Murphy store at Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio.
She died on 28 October 1986 in Bellefontaine, at age 87. She was buried in Harper Cemetery, Logan County, Ohio.
