     Chester Charles Smith was born on 13 April 1885.¹ He was the son of Charles Chester Smith and Eliza Margaret Wright.¹

He married Amy Marie Sortor.¹

     Chloe Smith was born on 10 November 1762 in South Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Israel Smith and Abigail Chandler.

She married Rutherford Hayes in 1779, and had eleven children.²

She died on 17 February 1847 at age 84.

David Adam Smith was U.S. Representative from WA (Democrat; good guy).¹

His adoptive father, Ben, a union baggage handler at Sea-Tac International Airport, died when Smith was 19. Smith lived with his mother as he finished law school. She was his cheerleader in 1990 when he decided, at age 25, to run for state Senate. But just days before the election, she had a stroke and died. A couple of weeks later, Smith received a letter from his father’s sister revealing that he had been adopted. His aunt was, in fact, his birth mother. ‘My aunt placed me in her brother’s care,’ Smith said.¹
