     Aaron Perley was born on 18 September 1755.² He was the son of Thomas Perley and Eunice Putnam.¹

In 1818 he removed the old house a few rods away and built the present Cleaveland mansion on the site. He was a very extensive farmer for his time. He kept a large stock of cattle, and his teams were continually in the market with the products of his farm. He erected a cider mill in 1776, which became another exit for the fruit of his extensive orchards.

He was a Minute Man of Capt. Jacob Gould's company, that marched to the defence of Lexington in 1775. He was always a patriotic and public-spirited citizen. He held numerous town offices. He was selectman and assessor in 1788, and on the school board 1808, 1813, 1818, 1822. Mr. Perley, however, gave more attention to his own business than to the affairs of others, and amassed great wealth for his time.²

He married Mehitable Wood on 27 June 1786.²

He died on 10 December 1831 or 10 January 1832 . He was always interested in the cause of the church. At his death, he gave five hundred dollars toward founding the East Parish Church Fund, and his widow, when the new church edifice was erected in 1838, presented the society with the Bibles and hymn books.² He and Mehitable Wood were buried in Harmony Cemetery, East Boxford, Essex County, Massachusetts.²

     Abigail Perley was born on 26 April 1708.² She was the daughter of Thomas Perley and Abigail Towne.¹

She married Samuel Morse of West Newbury on 12 December 1728 as his 4th wife.²

She married Jacob Hazen on 16 November 1761.² Abigail Perley and Jacob Hazen moved to Boxford, Essex County, Massachusetts, and located permanently in the East Parish in the "Hazen lot," a pasture near "Ye Great Meddowe," which, in 1880, was owned by Mr. Henry K. Kennett, where the cellar, houseless for almost a century, was still recognizable.² Abigail Perley and Jacob Hazen moved to Bridgton, Cumberland County, Maine probably.²

     Abigail Perley was born on 13 May 1739 in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts.² She was the daughter of David Perley and Elizabeth Jewett.¹

She married Richard Tenney on 30 March 1762.²

She died on 13 December 1813 in Rowley, at age 74.²

     Abraham Perley was born on 24 December 1749.¹ He was the son of Samuel Perley and Ruth How.¹

Abraham Perley was a physician at New Gloucester, Cumberland County, Maine.¹

On 20 August 1775, at age 25, he made his will and devised to Samuel Perley, Jr., of Seabrook, all his property, some of which was land in New Gloucester which he bought of Deacon Daniel Merrill. Rev. Samuel Perley was executor, and Jacob Green and Samuel Perley were witnesses to the will, which was proved 29 May 1776. He died of consumption, probably at his brother's,, in Seabrook, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.¹

     Abraham Perley was born on 26 May 1777 in Seabrook, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, . He, along with his twin Isaac, inherited the parental home and made it his. He was a "smart man" on the farm and excelled as a reaper, in many friendly contests.² He was the son of Samuel Perley and Hephzibah Fowler.¹

He married Rebecca Humphrey, as his first wife.²

He married Lois Burnham in 1818, as his second wife, and her second husband.³

He died in Fort Preble, Maine.³
