Mrs. Dawkins was born Sept. 25, 1953, in Nashua, daughter of Bertha (Richards) Nichols of Hudson and the late Horace Nichols Sr.

She was the wife of Paul C. Dawkins of Hudson.

Mrs. Dawkins enjoyed traveling.

Besides her husband and mother, survivors include a son, Shawn Dawkins of Manchester; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Michael Johnson and Niki and Ricky Pelletier of Nashua; four brothers, Butch Nichols of Nashua, Raymond Nichols of Merrimack, Alan Nichols of Hudson and Glenn Nichols of Merrimack; a sister, Susan Hallahan of Deltona, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.

She married Peter Sargent, son of Stephen Sargent and Judith Ordway, on 26 April 1759.1 In 1763, Ruth Nichols and Peter Sargent moved to Hopkinton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.1 In 1781, Ruth Nichols and Peter Sargent moved to New London, Merrimack County, New Hampshire along with Ebenezer Sargent.1

She died on 5 November 1808.1

She died on 31 August 1907 in Warner, at age 76.1 She was buried in Coal Hearth Cemetery, Warner, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.5

     Thomas Nickerson was born on 19 March 1744 in Chatham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, son of Thomas and Dorcas (Sparrow) Nickerson.1

He married Ruth Hinckley, daughter of Thomas Hinckley and Ruth Merrick, on 27 October 1765 in Chatham.1 He and his brother Sparrow Nickerson were murdered at sea in . Their cousin Ansell Nickerson was tried for the murders, but not convicted.1
