The census of 1910 shows Fred A. Colby, 52, and Harriett Colby, 43, listed with Cassie Colby, Grace M. Colby, Fred Waldo Colby and Sarah F. Colby living at 30 Elm Street, Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁵

The census of 1920 shows Harriet Colby, 52, and Cassie M. Colby, 27, a gramar school teacher, listed with Claude R. Chase, Grace M. Colby and Virginia Chase living at 802 Beach St., Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. Also in the household was Claude Chase's mother, Emily, 69.²

     (William) Shepard/Shepherd Mitchell was born on 19 September 1855 in Campobello, New Brunswick, Canada.¹

He married Margaret (“Maggie”) Louise Townsend, daughter of Chester Stephen (or Stephen Chester) Townsend and Mary Jane Irving.¹

He died on 2 October 1941 in Campobello, at age 86.¹

     Anne/Anna Mitchell was born on 3 February 1897 in New Brunswick, Canada.¹ She was the daughter of (William) Shepard/Shepherd Mitchell and Margaret (“Maggie”) Louise Townsend.¹

She married William Andrew Robertson Chapin M.D. in 1922 or 1923.¹

She died on 19 November 1971 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, at age 74.¹

     Carroll Sumner Mitchell was born on 20 March 1897 in Jonesport, Washington County, Maine.¹

He married Therese Eleanor Metcalf, daughter of John Clinton Metcalf and Ethel May Walker, on 18 June 1924 in Farmington, Franklin County, Maine.¹

     Effie Woodbury Mitchell was born say 1906. She was the daughter of James S. Mitchell and Nettie Olive Woodbury.¹

     Ethel Frost Mitchell was born say 1891 in Kittery, York County, Maine.¹

She married Edward Russell Hale, son of Lieutenant Henry Wyer Hale and Anna Eloise Russell, on 25 May 1911.¹

     James S. Mitchell was born in May 1876.¹

He married Nettie Olive Woodbury, daughter of Timothy Johnson Woodbury and Philena Abigail Boynton, in 1897 or 1898 in Maine.¹ The census of 1900 shows James S. Mitchell, 24, a day laborer, in the household of Timothy J. Woodbury and Philena A. Woodbury, at Patten, Penobscot County, Maine.¹

He died in 1946.² He and Nettie Olive Woodbury were buried in Patten Cemetery, Patten, Penobscot County, Maine.³

     Leon J. Mitchell was born on 7 April 1904.¹ He was the son of James S. Mitchell and Nettie Olive Woodbury.¹

     Marilyn Metcalf Mitchell was born on 19 September 1926 in Farmington, Franklin County, Maine.¹ She is the daughter of Carroll Sumner Mitchell and Therese Eleanor Metcalf.¹

She died on 26 September 1767.¹
