     Calvin Manson was born say 1852.

He married Abby J. Whitcomb, daughter of John Shaw Whitcomb and Sarah Bancroft Hamlin.¹

     Sarah Marble was born on 20 November 1825 in Vassalboro, Kennebec County, Maine, daughter of Coker and Marcia (Lewis) Marble.¹

She married Isaiah Winthrop Wood, son of Isaiah Wood and Rebecca Perley, in 1849 in Hallowell, Kennebec County, Maine.¹

She died on 21 May 1882 in North Anson, Somerset County, Maine, at age 56.¹

     





Anne Marbury was christened on 20 July 1591 at Alford, Lincolnshire, England.³ She was the daughter of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.^1,2

She married William Hutchinson, son of Edward Hutchinson and Susan ---(?)---, on 9 August 1612 in St Martin, Vintry, England.³

She died on 20 August 1643 at age 52 in an Indian massacre at Pelham Bay, Long Island.^2,4

     Anthony Marbury was baptized on 21 September 1598.¹ He was the son of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹ He was buried on 9 April 1601.¹

     Anthony Marbury was born about 1608 in London, Middlesex, England.¹ He was the son of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹ He matriculated at Brasenose College, Oxford, England, on 20 October 1626.¹

     Bridget Marbury was baptized on 8 May 1593.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹ She was buried on 15 October 1598.¹

     Bridget Marbury was baptized on 25 November 1599.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹

     Catherine Marbury was born in 1617.^2,3 She was the daughter of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹

She married Richard Scott.⁴

Governor Winthrop says of Mrs. Scott, January 16, 1639: "At Providence things grew still worse, for a sister of Mrs. Hutchinson, the wife of one Scott, being affected with Anabaptistery and going to live at Providence, Mr. Williams, was taken (or rather emboldened) by her to make open profession thereof and accordingly was re-baptised by one Holyman, a poor man late of Salem. Then Mr. Williams re-baptized him and some ten more. They also denied the baptism of infants and would have no magistrates."²

On 16 Sep 1658, her future son-in-law, Christopher Holder, had his right ear cut off at Boston, for the crime of being a Quaker. Mrs. Scott protested "that it was evident they were going to act the work of darkness or else they would have brought them forth publicly and have declared them offences, that all may hear and fear." For this utterance the Puritan Fathers of Boston "committed her to prison and they gave her ten cruel stripes with a three-fold corded knotted whip" shortly after "though ye confessed when ye had her before you that for ought ye knew she had been of unblamable character and though some of you knew her father and called him Mr. Marbury and that she had been well bred (as among men and had so lived) and that she was the mother of many children. Yet ye whipped her for all that, and moreover told her that ye were likely to have a law to hang her if she came thither again." To which she answered: "If God calls us, woe be unto us if we come not, and I question not but he whom we love will make us not to count our lives dear unto ourselves for the sake of his name." To which you, Governor John Endicott, replied: "And we shall be as ready to take any of your lives as ye shall be to lay them down."²

She died on 2 May 1687.²

     Daniel Marbury was baptized on 14 September 1602.¹ He was the son of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹

     Elizabeth Marbury was born say 1588.² She was the daughter of Rev. Francis Marbury and Elizabeth Moore.¹ She was buried on 4 June 1601.¹

     Elizabeth Marbury was baptized on 20 January 1604/5.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹ She was buried on 9 March 1613/14.¹

     Emme Marbury was born on 21 December 1595.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹

     Erasmus Marbury was baptized on 15 February 1596/97.¹ He was the son of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹ He matriculated at Brasenose College, Oxford, England, on 12 April 1616.¹

     Francis Marbury was baptized on 20 October 1594.¹ He was the son of Rev. Francis Marbury and Bridget Dryden.¹
