The census of 1930 shows William Levine, 22, a truck chauffer, one of eight roomers in the home of Roy Lovett, living at 9 Temple Street, Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts. The home was valued at $5,000.4
He married Dorothy M. Hannon in 1939.5

On 2 January 1978, in a letter he wrote "Excuse my lousy writing since I haven't written to anyone since I last wrote to Homer in 1943" [His writing was fine.].6

WOBURN - Dorothy M. (Hannon) Levine, 94, a longtime resident of Woburn, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody. She was the wife of the late William Levine, who died in 1995.
She was born and raised in Cambridge, the daughter of the late James and Anna (Sauer) Hannon. Mrs. Levine came to Woburn in 1953, and had lived here ever since.
In years past, Mrs. Levine enjoyed bowling, and played in several bowling leagues in the area. She also played whist and other card games with friends. But most of all, she was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Robert R. Levine and his wife, Mary, of Woburn, George J. Levine and his wife, Susan, of Wakefield, and William C. Levine and his wife, June, of Woburn; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marie Herrick of Billerica and Eleanor Poore of Cambridge.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 7, at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Road, Woburn. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
