Jonathan Lake1
b. 18 March 1761, d. 20 May 1846
Jonathan Lake was born on 18 March 1761 in Topsfield, Essex County, Massachusetts, son of Daniel and Sarah (Bixby) Lake of Rindge.2
He served about five years in the Revolutionary war, including the Saratoga campaign, that of 1778 with the battle of Monmouth, and enlisting last for three years in 1781. His first enlistment was at the age of 17. He was a farmer.2
He married Hannah Hale, daughter of Enoch Hale and Abigail Stanley, on 8 March 1786.2
He married Lucy Hale, daughter of Enoch Hale and Abigail Stanley, in 1836, as second husband and second wife.1
He died on 20 May 1846 in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, at age 85.1
