Through the Year in Fairbanks, Alaska May 8, 2007 "O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!" (Psalms 8:1) The Dark-Eyed Juncos have returned. A pair has been in our yard all day. They join the ever-present Redpolls and Pigeons! We have stopped putting out as much bird seed as a flock of pigeons has been managing to get some seed all winter. As soon as the snow was gone most of the Redpolls disappeared with it! There are still a few pairs that come around. They are much fiestier than they were during the winter, chasing any other birds away when they are feeding. I hope you enjoy these pictures of the birds in our yard.
