ce Art - Winter Jewels
During the winter months, ice sculptures appear all over town. The World Ice Art Championship competition, sponsored by Ice Alaska," is held each March in Fairbanks. There are large and small sculptures in the competition. They range from Abstract to Realistic, and many are life size or larger. At night they are lit up with colored lights and sparkle like jewels. Here are pictures of some of the beautiful sculptures from past Ice Art competitions and also some sculptures from around town.
