My deceased Aunt Gladys who always set her table with a table cloth. I said that when I grew up that I would always have a table cloth on my table like her. And I do.

1993 - 58 years old - My first serious attempt at Genealogy the day my newly found cousin, Bill Hayes of "Days of Our Lives"
showed me this place where our 6th great grandfather and his family are buried.

Dee - 1999 - age 64 at Hinkle Valley, Virginia - My ancestors, the Hinkle's, settled this Valley in the 1700's.
They owned 20 miles of land. (See marker to the right of picture.)

This is the church I attended until 1947
about a mile from where I was born. My birth certificate says "Center Belpre," but Center Belpre is a different location today.

I attended a one-room 6-grade school in Porterfield, Ohio for 6 years. 1940-1946 with 24 students.
One year a family with four boys attending this school were killed on the Porterfield Railroad Tracks.
This was a real tragedy for all of the students.

This is Belpre High School, Ohio. I was in 7th Grade 1946/47.

Then I moved to Parkersburg and graduated from Parkersburg High School, West Virginia in 1952.
