Welcome to our growing list of genealogical societies, libraries and related collections, which includes select historical societies with genealogical records and family surname organizations. While there are a number of Internet sites available that display links to genealogical and historical society web pages, most of them limit the groups to those who have identifiable home pages or their own Internet web page. We place no such restriction here, and instead focus on mailing addresses and physical locations of the facility or collection. We do try to include a link to the society's web site if known, or to an e-mail address of the group's point of contact.

This compilation was borne from the expanding Links Page from the Dobberstein Family Reunion Association web site, which just became too long to the extent that the information was becoming disassociated with the family itself. Visitors mentioned that the lengthy society list should be made into a separate web page to get broader exposure and use. Then I inherited an old Historical and Genealogical Society Links web page from Bob George of Surprise, Arizona that he felt he could no longer maintain, and I knew the time had come to create this site. So, this it is. Whether you are here as guest from Bob's Crooked Tree's Census On Line & The Taulbee Pages web site, or from my own Dobberstein Digest On-Line, or just surfing the Internet, I want to bid you as personal a greeting as this medium allows.
