2. Photo Verne John MACARTHUR was born on 17 Feb 1915 in Redehille, Alberta, Canada.1,2

The family story of Verne's birth is: He was born during a blizzard. His father, John, went to town to get the doctor, but couldn't get back because of the storm. So Eva delivered him herself. There was an argument about his name with John having the last word because he went to town to register the birth, so it is either Verne John or John Verne.

He died on 16 Jun 1972 in Palmdale, Los Angeles Co., CA.1 He was buried on 21 Jun 1972 in San Fernando, Los Angeles Co., CA.1,2 (Glen Haven Cemetery) He was educated at Glendale Jr. College.3 He was a truck driver and general contractor.3 Verne John MACARTHUR and Regina Aileen MACHTOLF were married on 25 Nov 1939 in Montrose, LosAngeles Co., CA.4,5

While blossoms and palms decorated the church, the white, gold, and green color scheme was carried out at the Machtolf home, 2857 Mayfield, where a reception, attended by 150 guests, was held. The three-tiered cake was cut by the bride. Gifts were displayed. Leave on Trip For her wedding trip, Mrs. MacArthur wore a rose-colored frock with black accessories.
