Lowell David Pruitt was born March 25, 1957 in Huntington WV, the only child of Lowell Russell Pruitt and Joanne Baker Pruitt. The family lived in Wayne WV for a few years, and then moved to Huntington. David had several Aunts and Uncles living nearby, most with children, so there were many family gatherings.
David attended Vinson High School in Huntington, where he played both Varsity fottball and baseball, before graduating in 1974. He attended Marshall University in Huntington while working at various part time jobs such as medical deliveries, grocery clerk, bus boy, and inventory control, but left before completing his studies to move to Mississippi in 1977. He lived with relatives until his parents moved there too later that same year.
David was first married in 1978 and again in 1982, but both of these were short lived. He lived in Jackson MS until 1981, when he moved to Pascagoula MS. Except for a one year period in Hattiesburg MS, he remained in Pascagoula until 1989 when he moved to Shreveport LA. He changed jobs in 1990 to move back to his native WV, where he lives today with wife Karen & daughter Erin.
David's interests include NASCAR, Genealogy, Travel, Yorkies, Computers, Writing, Music, Reading, and Photography.
