Helen was the daughter of Leo Summers and wife, Clara. She is known to have lived in the Wilson school district in Memphis as a young girl.

She is thought to have been in this album as a (Wilson School) schoolmate of Pearl's sons, Clair and Donald Shelley. Helen is now deceased.
