Birdie Naomi Rugh was born in Richland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania on August 4, 1872 to Josiah Rugh and wife Fay (Sarah Jane Albert). On January 21, 1893, in Franklin Pennsylvania, she married Robert Boyd Adams. She died on August 8, 1971 at Oil City Pennsylvania and was buried at the Emlenton Cemetery, Emlenton Pennsylvania.

Elmer Ellsworth Rugh was born in Richland Township, Venango county, Pennyslvania in 1867 to Josiah Rugh and Fay (Sarah Jane Albert). About 1890 he married Mayme Shives. They lived for a time in Wood County Ohio where a son, Elmer Leland, was born. Elmer (Sr.) died in Detroit Michigan in 1956.
