Josiah Rugh with wife & Family
With Josiah (to his left) is wife Fay (Sarah Jane Albert). Others in the photo are yet to be identified. One possible exception is the gentleman with the mustache (back row?) who is thought to be Daniel Wilmer Adams, brother to the husband of Josiah's daughter, Birdie.
Josiah was born in Clarion County Pennsylvania on February 23, 1833 to Peter Rugh and Susanna Mikesell . He married Fay (Sarah Jane) Albert on January 31, 1856. He was a farmer and spent most of his adult lifetime farming near Disler's Corners, Venango County, Pennsylvania. He died on December 17, 1922 and is buried at Zion Cemetery at Disler's Corners.
Fay (Sarah Jane) Albert was born in Richland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania on March 20, 1836. She died on December 21 1912 at Disler's Corners, Venango County, Pennsylvania and was buried next to Josiah at the Old Zion Cemetery at Disler's Corners.
