Dr. Whitesell was a grandson of Jacob Weitzel and Catherine Elizabeth (nee Merkel/Markle).
He married Elizabeth (nee Heiney). They lived in Noblestown, Indiana.
Dr. Whitesell died in Noblestown on January 28, 1896. Elizabeth died the same year (1896).
