Anna was born on March 18, 1822 in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania to John Jacob Rugh (the Jr.) and Betsy (Elizabeth Louise) Keppel (Kepple). She was baptized on May 19, 1822 in Greensburg at the First Lutheran Church.

About 1842, she married Peter Bradley. Peter Bradley was born in Tyrone Ireland in 1807.

Following marriage, Anna and Peter lived on a small farm at Duncansville in Blair County Pennsylvania.

In 1879, after Peter's death, Anna moved with her children to a farm in Fillmore County Nebraska. She died on August 1, 1890 in or near Exeter in Fillmore County Nebraska.
