Scott Terrell Rugh was born on February 27, 1896 in Azen, Scotland County Missouri.

Edith (Shela Marion) Mitchell was born on August 16, 1899 in Scotland County Missouri.

They were married in Scotland County on June 8, 1918.

Scott spent his childhood on his father's farm in Scotland County. In 1915 he graduated from Memphis High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WW I.

About 1926 he moved with Edith and Daughter, Virginia, from Missouri to Claremont in Southern California.

He worked as a hauler of Pacific Electric and Southern Pacific railroad freight eventually owning and operating his own moving van and storage business.

A favorite hobby was "lawn bowling". He and wife, Edith, enjoyed taking fishing and camping trips to the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California.

Scott died in Laverne, California on December 25, 1989. Edith died in Laverne on November 28, 1996.

They are both buried in the Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont, California.
