Benjamin Rufus Grinstead and wife, Kate Amanda (nee Rugh) of Scotland County, Missouri

Ruff was born March 1, 1847 to George Thompson Grinstead & Emmeline (nee Wildman) in Jefferson County, Indiana.
During the Civil War her served in the 3rd Iowa Volunteer Cavalry on the side of the Union.
On January 20, 1870, in Missouri, he married Mandy (Kate Amanda) Rugh.
Mandy was born on June 15, 1846 in Greensburg Pennsylvania to Michael Rugh & Zeruah (nee Williams). In 1848 she came with her parents to Iowa and then on to the family farm near Azen in Scotland County Missouri.
They lived their lives and raised their children on their family farm in Scotland County, Missouri.

Mandy died on February 7, 1933 and was buried at Prairie View Methodist Church Cemetery in Scotland County Missouri.
Ruff died in Jefferson County Iowa in 1936. He is buried alongside Mandy at Prairie View.
