Georgia was born on November 8, 1870 to Benjamin Ruff Grinstead and Kate Amanda (nee Rugh) on a family farm near Azen in Scotland County Missouri.

She married Ed (Edward Jay) Biggs on July 31, 1892 at Prairie View Methodist Church in Scotland County. Ed was born On June 18 1869 near Azen in Scotland County, Missouri to William Biggs & Lucy (nee Goodloe).

Georgia & Ed spent their lives farming in Scotland County. Their four children were all born there. Two of the children died in infancy.

Ed died on May 20, 1938 in Scotland County and is buried in Prairie View Methodist Church Cemetery there.

Geogia died on December 14, 1952 and lies next to Ed at Prairie View.
