Christian Mercklin, cartwright*, legitimate son of Hans Georg
Mercklin, master cartwright* from Schülkersdorff
(now Schillersdorf)
located in Unter Elsass (Lower Alsace) - by (near) Buschweiler (now
Bouxwiller), which has allegiance
to his excellence the count of Hanau, and virgin Anna Catherine,
legitimate daughter of Sir Johannes Benner, citizen and blacksmith
in Lambsheim, also abbot of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation
there, were married on the 6th of January at the Feast of the
Apparition of Christ at the church in Lambsheim.

NOTE: Having also seen various other records, I am now convinced the surname of Anna Catharina, wife of Christian, was "Benner" possibly also known as "Bender".............................. Phil
