3. Jacob2 Scheibeler (Sheffler) (Friederick1) was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on June 4, 1788.(20736) On January 28, 1789 he was baptized by Rev. Anton Ulrich Lutge at a church in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

About 1804 he married Catharina (Anna Catharina) Draxel.(20737) Catharina (Anna Catharina) Draxel was born about 1790.(20738) Catharina was the daughter of Jacob Draxel and Elizabeth.

Jacob Scheibeler (Sheffler) and Catharina (Anna Catharina) Draxel had the following children:

child 4 i. Hanna3 Scheibel (Sheffler) was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on October 6, 1805.(20739) She was baptized on January 19, 1809 somewhere in Westmoreland County by Rev. Johann Wilhelm Weber. Baptismal sponsors were Friedrich Scheibeler & Salome (her grandparents).

child 5 ii. Sara Scheibeler (Sheffler) was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on June 24, 1808.(20740) She was baptized on September 4, 1808 at East Huntingdon Zion Lutheran Church (Schwabs - Alverton) in Westmoreland County. Baptismal sponsors were Jacob Dillinger & Catharine.

child 6 iii. Johannes Scheibele (Sheffler) was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on April 22, 1810.(20741) He was baptized somewhere in Westmoreland County on May 27, 1810 by Rev. Johann Wilhelm Weber. Baptismal sponsors were Jacob Draxel & Elissabetha (his grandparents).

child 7 iv. Elizabeth Scheibeler (Sheffler) was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on February 25, 1812.(20742) She was baptized by Reformed minister Rev. Johann Wilhelm Weber on April 12, 1812. Baptismal sponsors were Henrich Frantz & Elissabetha. Elizabeth donated a stained glass window which can still be seen at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greensburg in memory of her departed husband, Peter Rugh. She died on September 12, 1892 at age 80 years, 9 mo., and 1 da in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.(20743) She was buried at The Old German Cemetery in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.(20744) The grave & tombstone were later moved to the Hillview Cemetery in South Greensburg. About 1834 in Pennsylvania she married Peter Rugh.(20745)

Peter Rugh was born in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on April 28, 1816.(20746) He was baptized on June 23, 1816 in Greensburg at the Greensburg Lutheran Church. Baptismal sponsors were Peter Ruch and Margaretta. Peter spent his entire adult lifetime as a farmer in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania. He appears in the 1850 Census as a farmer at age 34 living with wife and family in Hempfield Township. Peter was the son of Jacob Rugh and Margaret (Margaretha) Brinker.

He died on November 4, 1870 at age 64 in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.(20747) He was buried at The Old German Cemetery in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.(20748) His grave was moved in the mid 1940's to Hillview Cemetery in South Greensburg. His tombstone was seen to be still standing there in 1989. (See Peter Rugh for the continuation of this line.)

child 8 v. George Scheibeler (Sheffler) was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on April 12, 1814.(20749) He was baptized on April 12, 1814 at the Greensburg Lutheran Church on May 29, 1814. Baptismal sponsors were Georg Becker (single) & Magthalena Draxel (single).
