Arthur Wallace was born in Missouri on November 24, 1889.

He married Bessie Virgil Rugh on May 25, 1918.

Bessie was born in Missouri on November 14, 1893 to George Washington Rugh and Anna (nee Tackaberry).

Arthur & Bessie made their home on a farm in Union Township of Scotland County Missouri where they raised their three children: Velma, Robert, and Carroll Dean "Deak").
