|Be it Remembered this Twenty Eighth day of the fifth month in the
year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety Nine that I John Irish
of Stonington in the County of New London and state of Connecticut yeoman
Being of a sound mind and memory for which and all other belongings I devise
to be very thankful and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing
that all flesh must yeild with Death when it shall please God to call do
make and ordain this to be my Last will and Testament and as touching such
worldly Estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me with in this
liffe I give order and dispose of the same in manner and form following and
first I will that all then debts I do owe in right to any person with my
funeral charges be well and truly content? and paid by my Executors hereafter
named in a convenient time after my decease out of my Estate
Imprimis I give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Phebe Tanner Ten good silver dollars to be paid her out of my Estate by my Executors hereafter named in one year after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Phebe Irish one good feather bed and the bedding & furniture belonging to it.
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandson William Tanner the one seventh part of all the remainder of my Estate which I give him in trust for his Mother to be ___ded discretionary for her support and comfort as she may need.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Mary Birch the one seventh part of my Estate afore Said.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Joanna (Johanna) Greenold the one seveth of my Estate afore said.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved Grand children namely John Irish and Prudence Irish the one seventh part of my Estate as aforesaid to be equally divided among them.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Sarah Worden the one seventh part of my Estate as aforesaid.
Item I give and bequeath to my three Grand Children namely Miner Healy Edmond Healey Mary Healy the one seventh part of my Estate as aforesaid to be equally divided among them.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Hannah Miner the one seventh part of my Estate as aforesaid.
And Lastly I nominate ordain and appoint by trusty and beloved sons in
Law Henery Burtch and Benjamin Grinold to be my Executors of this my Last
Will and Testament hereby disallowing and making void all other former Wills
by me here tofore made ratifying and confirming this only to be my Last Will
and Testament In Witness and confirmation where of I have here unto set my
hand and affixed my seal the day month and year first within written.
