Bounded as follows: Beginning at a corner at the Lot No. 3 in the German Street, then along the said street 103 feet to Church street, thence along the said street 206 feet to the corner of the Lot No. 40, thence along the line of the said lot to the other corner of the said Lot No. 4 and so up the line of the said lot to the beginning. Thomas & Elizabeth Shepherd of Frederick Co., Virginia sell to Alexander Caldwell, (place not mentioned) for 50 shillings three and one eighth acres of land, lying and being adjoining to the town of Mecklenburgh, which was part of 50 acres that Thomas Shepherd bought from Richard Morgan 15 August 1762. Bounded as follows: Beginning at the corner of the said Alexander Caldwell his half acre lot and running thence N 26.5 E nine poles to a stake then S 63 E 27 poles to a stake the S 22.5 W 22 poles to a stake, then N 63.5 W 21 poles to another corner of the said half acre lot, then N 26.5 E 208 feet to another corner of said half acre lot then to the beginning. Signed Thomas Shepherd and the mark of Elizabeth Shepherd, in the presence of William Brown and John Rogers.

Benjamin * Mary (his wife) Sanders, of Frederick Co., Virginia, leases to Peter Williamson, of Frederick Co., Virginia for 5 shillings, 200 acres being part of a greater tract containing 400acres granted to Thomas Swearingen by deed from Thomas Fairfax 1 April 1754 and conveyed to Benjamin Sanders 4 June 1766...near the Potomac River... corner to Anthony Turner. Signed Benjamin Sanders and the mark of Mary Sanders, in the presence of Jacob V. Devier, Thomas Shepherd and W. Morgan.
