WARD-WITHERINGTON CEMETERY DEDICATION
CONECUH COUNTY, ALABAMA

ward witherington cemetery sign

NOVEMBER 5, 2005

These pictures were taken at the memorial service on November 5, 2005. There were many people present both re-enactors and family members. Our day began at the Bowles Assembly of God Church and then we proceded to the cemetery for the memorial service. There were many speakers present as there were three distinct periods of history that was covered that day; The Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 and the Civil War. I learned a lot about the history of our various flags. That was very educational. The other interesting part was when we fired our guns. I always like that part. After the memorial service some of the families gathered at the historic Witherington homeplace for a meal and fellowship. Others of us took pictures, talked, made new acquaintances and swapped emails with other re-enactors.
