Richards Cemetery
Altha, Florida

On Sunday, July 25, 2004, we hooked the white stallion to the wagon and headed out to Altha, Florida. The occasion was the dedication ceremonies for the Richards Cemetery. It turned out to be a very good day. The sun was shining, not too hot and a smooth easy wind blowing. Our travel took us west of Altha to a large grassy field. In the middle of this field was an area that had recently been cleared.

In the picture above you see the work that has been put into cleaning this cemetery. One can readily tell by walking through the area that at some point in time the cemetery had been neglected to some extent, but, not today. She was shining in all her glory. There is a lot of work yet to be done but the battle has already been won by the cleaning that has recently taken place.
