There is now evidence that there was a William BRENNAN in the Ballickmoyler area of Queen's County (Co. Laois) c1761. He is listed in the following documents which were found in the estate records of the Hovenden Family of Queen's County - PRONI D950 sourced by Mr Peter Hovenden-Jones c2004.
On two separate occasions a William Brennan of Ballickmoyler was a Witness to a Deed and a Lease of land by Richard Hovenden of Ballylehane in Queen's County (Co. Laois) on 18 April 1761 and on the 18th May 1761. This proves that there was a Brennan family in Ballickmoyler, in Queen's County (Co. Laois) in the 1700's. The Hovenden's were large landowners in Queen's County during this period. The documents where the name William Brennan occurs are as follows:-
