The Bryson Family Weather Page

Our son, Mark, is very interested in weather, but we all enjoy looking at weather; cloud formations, storms, lightning, etc.
We decided to share some of our favorite pictures. These were taken by members of our family and should not be shared without our permission.  (Maureen Bryson, 2008).

Anti-crepuscular rays just south of Meadow, Utah, Thursday, August 21, 2003, about 4:15 p.m. You can read about anticrepuscular rays at Astronomy Picture of the Day,

12 Dec 2008, between Wickenberg, Arizona, and Tonopah, Arizona, along the Vulture Mine Road. Clouds "afire" in a spectacular sunset that lasted for over half an hour.
16 Dec 2008, between Logandale, Nevada, and Mesquite, Nevada. This cloud looked huge when we first saw it, but as we got closer, it really sat nearly on the ground, and was only a few hundred feet high. The "spaceship" cloud at the front on top is called a pileus. As the wind blows over the cloud on a cold day, it freezes into this formation.
